Community Peer Support
As a member of the community team, we walk with peers through their transition into a self-sufficient lifestyle. We are honored to use our shared lived experience to navigate barriers and obstacles to sustain personal recovery and a healthier lifestyle. The most rewarding part of being a peer supporter is watching a person go from broken and hopeless to fulfilling lifelong goals.
Hospital Peer Support
As a member of the hospital peer supporters team, we shepherd those lost in substance use disorder to the pathway of recovery they decide. Being the light of hope during a time of crisis can be one of the most rewarding experiences. Breaking down walls with our experiences, strength and hope, we change the community one person at a time.
Become an Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporter
Peer Recovery Supporters is an all-inclusive term consisting of peer specialists, recovery coaches, and peer supporters. In order to have a formal certification, individuals delivering peer services needed to have one title for consistency. Peer Recovery Supporter was chosen as it represents the three largest sections of the current peer workforce.
To be eligible to be certified as a Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS) in the State of Ohio, you must have a direct lived experience of mental health and/or substance use issues. “Direct lived experience” means that you are personally in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use issue (having a friend or family member in recovery does not qualify). You may not apply for PRS certification if you have a Disqualifying Offense (there is no waiver for these offenses).
Peer Recovery Support certification has moved to the eLicense platform as of April 7, 2022.
Clinical Team
As a member of the clinical team, you will have the ability to utilize your clinical skills to support our amazing peer support team and diverse client populations. Clinical team members provide assessments, develop and update treatment plans and provide clinical support to those rendering services in the community. The best part of the clinical team is watching the assessment and treatment plan come to life and act as the roadmap for a client’s recovery.
