Virtual Narcan Training

Thursday, February 10, 2022 • 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Are you a business owner in the state of Ohio? Join us for free virtual Narcan training on February 10th at 11:00 am. As the number of overdose cases in Cuyahoga County continues to skyrocket, we would like to extend this training to businesses that might be interested in learning the signs of overdose and ways to save someone’s life. We understand that fentanyl is being laced with cocaine, pressed pills, meth and heroin, making any form of drug use, including recreational use, even more, dangerous now than in the past. Data from the CDC reports that over 70% of overdose deaths in Ohio occur with a bystander present- don’t get caught off guard. If you and/or your staff members are interested, please register to join the training here: https://thrivenarcanbusinesstraining.eventbrite.com
For your participation in the training, your business will receive a free Narcan kit and instructions to keep on hand. We strongly encourage business owners, especially bar owners and restaurant owners, to keep a kit at a close distance to their service counters. In the occurrence someone is actively overdosing in their establishment or nearby, it’s vital to have a trained staff that knows what to do. This free public training is in partnership with Ohio City Improvement Corporation and the Cuyahoga County ADAMHS Board.
*****You must register on our Eventbrite page to gain access to the zoom link for the training.
